Yes some Chinese Thais celebrate CNY but this is slowly fading away. I have Thai friends, newer generation, they dun place CNY important anymore. CNY to them is another normal office day. Anyway, Chinese blood does not means they behave like Chinese.

As mentioned they dun celebrate CNY like Chinese, but as your wish, make it less complicate then yes they celebrate CNY in Pattaya. Suddenly I asked myself, why bother to celebrate CNY in Pattaya or know whether Pattaya celebrates CNY.
Songkran is the period to go Pattaya instead of CNY.
