No choice, they have to hustle. Else, how to earn a living. We had it not bad in Sg here where we can earn an ok living and stretch our dollars there. Whereas, their average income is maybe S$200-S$300. And, I think NoNo mentioned this, if they are in their 30s, they stand a very low chance of getting hired when looking for job. Most of their job advertisement states this openly.
