Its really a very bad thing to conced goal especially during last min not to say during injury time. The defence and goalkeeper really like go to sleep to let Jenas score that kind of long range goal.

We'll fight for third spot.
Thing is, without Henry our attack seems rather toothless. It might be high time I should get another stirker, possibly an out and out striker like Ronaldo (not the Portugese diver), van Nistelrooy, or Fernando Torres.

Baptista, should I keep him?

* ARSENAL

What they want

Arsenal have had many flaws during an inconsistent season, but the one Arsene Wenger appears most keen to address is the lack of width and the subsequent absence of goals from midfield players (Matt Hughes writes). Tomas Rosicky, Alexander Hleb and Cesc Fabregas do not score enough goals, with only the penalty-taking Gilberto Silva contributing regularly this season. With Abou Diaby, Denilson and even Fabregas filling in on the flanks in recent weeks the Frenchman's priority is to sign a genuine winger.

What they need

Arsenal could also do with a goal-poacher to partner Thierry Henry, but since Francis Jeffers's failure at Highbury this is not Wenger's way. Robin van Persie can look forward to plenty of matches on his return from a broken foot, while Emmanuel Adebayor will be expected to continue his recent improvement. Nicklas Bendtner is likely to be handed a new contract and the Denmark striker may be given greater opportunities to impress after a successful season-long loan at Birmingham City.

Targets

Having failed to sign Franck Ribery last summer, Wenger will return for the Marseilles winger, with the fleet-footed Ryan Babel, of Ajax, a possible alternative. The club are hoping that Theo Walcott's limited progress will not dissuade Gareth Bale from joining from Southampton, but fear the 17-year-old would prefer to sign for Manchester United. Craig Gordon, the Heart of Midlothian goalkeeper, has been identified as a long-term replacement for Jens Lehmann.

Budget

Given Pounds 10 million annual interest repayments on their Pounds 260 million mortgage, money remains tight at the Emirates and Wenger will be limited to two or three modest signings. The Frenchman is confident his squad can continue to compete, but would welcome the greater funds that would follow from further investment by Stan Kroenke.

Departures

Lehmann signed a one-year contract extension last week, but several other long-serving players are likely to leave in the summer. Fredrik Ljungberg has been told he can leave and will seek a transfer after nine years at the club, while Jeremie Aliadiere finds himself in a similar situation. Mathieu Flamini may also be moved on after the emergence of Denilson and Diaby, and Julio Baptista will return to Real Madrid after an indifferent season on loan.

Look on the bright side, at least we still qualify for the CL qualifiers.
Young players come with a price tag for sure, but without them, we'll be left with old and sore ones.

Look at MANURE, they've got no more academy squad to look forward to anymore so how long more do you think they can last?
Especially with Glazer being such a "ngiao" man.

We've gotta look beyond the present and expect more in the future.
Well 1 thing's for sure, Wenger is still around. Have faith in him just like everyone else did with Rafa in Liverpool.

Re: Arsenal FC Emirates All Gunner fans fall in

According to Skysports, Arsenal is closing in on a deal for Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski. Fabianski's agent Martin Wiesner:

"We are very close to a deal with Arsenal, an agreement is there between both clubs. We just have to arrange some details of his contract at Legia and with Arsenal. Lukasz had medical tests yesterday (Tuesday) and he has flown back to Poland to play for Legia on Wednesday."

Who's this chap? I was wondering as well...

here to find some background info on Lukasz. At 22 years old, he is currently keeping goal for Legia Warsaw and was the reserve keeper for Poland in the 2006 FIFA World Cup behind Artur Boruc. Standing at 1.90 meters tall, this young boy can still grow!

Now all we need to know is this: does he has the skills?

Lightening reflexes, good positioning, catches the ball well, motivates his defence and is even not that bad looking (Siren, that's for you). However, the video did not have him in any one-on-one situation or launching a counter-attack with a long throw. But I'm sure Wenger & his scouting team would have seen enough to have signed him.

Love his name too - Lukasz. The Force is strong, this one
