In Soi 6 itself lah..quite cheap too..got rooms from 600 baht and up..always full so book early. Its got a decent restaurant below too.:)

Very far and hard to find lah, i walk up and down soi 6 and spend like 1-2 hours, 4-5 beers, see 100-200 puying before i can find this hotel :p

Actually they only have ONE room at 595baht. :p
They oso have one Jacuzzi room at 2200baht.
The rest of the rooms range from 900-1100baht. :D
This is an English style Inn and unless you are westernized or into western culture..... dun bother to stay there. It is not soundproof and the noise from the bars and ladyboys can be irritating when you are trying to sleep.
Most of the other guests are long stay Angmos.

Another thing about staying there is the hotel will be closed after 12 midnite and you have to go round to the back to wake the security guard to let you in. :D
The Englishman owner is a very friendly guy and a pool hustler :p
Btw, he is oso the owner of Vikings bar on Soi 6.

I think if you have a problem with westerners then Pattaya is not the place for you. I would like to think of Pattaya as a place where everybody gets along regardless of where you come from.
I also feel for a short stay of 1 or 2 days Soi 6 guesthouses offer good value. Bars open at 1 pm and majority closes at 1 am. Most punters wont sleep till later anyway so the sleeping issue is not a major one. If you r a light sleeper you can always ask for a room facing Soi 6/1. Its good enough for most people.
Many people like Soi 6 guesthouses cos they can get a girl and do ST in their rooms..and standing out your own window surveying the street is never boring. Foodcarts aline the road so wont get hungry here.
Ladyboys r generally friendly enough..problem only comes when you r too drunk and you argue or wany to have a fight with them. I stayed so many years here and never had a problem with them..:)

Best time to come is now..low of the low season. Girls even start at 10/11 am now cos its hard to get customers. If your here you get to pick and choose.

I myself trying to find ways to occupy my time cos Soi 6 is so quiet..squid fishing season is here..caught 10 last night in 1 hr so not bad. Have to go late cos I went to Balihai pier..if go early will be caught up with the busloads of Chinese tourists.:)

Pattaya got low season arh! Haha! Rich told me he had a good time there bro. And well..... We'll be back lar! KaKa might come during the Loy K period but right now suffering from Alcohol withdrawal so need some rest. Bro the queen Victoria place is like how much?

Aiyah..read bro Ninja A..post above lah. 600 baht and above. Your fav Bay Breeze is better for location lah. Stay Soi 6 is more for those who do not like gogo bars as in WS or LK Metro. But as I said..if just for a nite or 2 its ok.:)

I am sitting outside the bar in Soi 6 with nothing better to do so I shall contribute a totally useless article I call Peddlers of Soi 6.

As for the peddlers..they sell items which are useful to ladies and customers alike but many sell totally insignificant stuff.

I am in no way belittling them ok..just observations..

The Flower Seller..this lady totes Roses for 20 baht a stalk. Many times she carries a small baby with her to gain more sympathy. And they do sell a lot of Roses too. Not my favourite as they can be overly pushy.Worst thing is they not even Thai..probably from Laos or Viets.

The underwear seller..very popular with the bar girls..they seem to buy a new bra or undies every other day..or so it seems.

The T Shirt seller..ladies singlets are the single biggest seller.Cheap too from 20 baht a piece to more expensive ones. Can order in bulk and its priced reasonably.

The knick knack seller..she sells simple make up items..and accessories..useful when you need a nail cutter or mirror.

The DVD seller..sells fake DVDs for 100 baht a piece..always get their phone number..cos if the DVD is faulty can call him for a free exchange.

The Fake Watch seller..I have a regular..customers who wants to buy one I will call him. Reliable and reasonably priced. Between 700 to 1000 baht for a decent quality.

The Sunglasses Seller..very popular with farangs due to high cost back home. Cant go wrong with 100 baht shades.

The Fake Viagra Seller..avoid..avoid..they sell the fakes of the generic. Health hazard. Buy always from pharmacies.

The Outright Beggar..dont sell anything..normally show some form of physical deformity to gain pity. Common everywhere I guess.

The Book Seller..she sells dictionaries..and Thai love comics. My favourite is title..' The quick Guide to Get Rich for Bar girls ! '. I have a copy too.

The Lottery Seller..very very common..dont misunderstand why you jave stacks of same number.It means that if you buy 1 ticket you win 2/3 million..if you buy 2 tickets same number means you win double..that is if you win.

The Make Up Lady..starts her rounds in early afternoon...some do make up some do nails. Nail painting that is.

The Earrings Seller..also does piercings for 40 baht..ears..eyelids..belly buttons..all done right in front of the bars.

The Perfume Seller..cheap quality perfume from 80 baht to 100 baht a bottle.

The Trinket Seller..sells Buddhist good luck stuff.

The Souvenir Sellers..normally hails from the Northern tribes nearer to Chiangmai selling embroideries. Quite nice actually. I have one of those funny hats.

Maybe next I talk about the Food Carts..:D

1 km walk, your physic should be 9 minutes. for me 12 minutes.... by the Beach Road...
