The reason is becos taxis want earn return trip but I only pick up one way and travel 2 way for total distance of 300 + km. My vehicle is a 3 ltr turbo so my diesel cost for a return trip is abt 500 baht. Tolls cost almost 400 baht. For me to travel that distance taking probably more than 5 hours in total to earn a paltry sum just do not make sense. For regulars..I normally ask them to give me what they normally pay taxi. So from Suvarnabhumi if a customer give me 1k..means I earn a princely sum of 480 baht..as diesel is abt 400 baht and tolls 120 baht return. Its honestly not worth my while as its a 250 km return journey. As I say..I only do it for regulars upon request as these guys understand and give me back much more. For me its just an added service. Hope you understand.:) |

http://www.pttaxiservice.com They are on WA and Line too. For return, just call day before. This has been posted here awhile back Reliable, use a sign to meet and greet 'welCUM sbf':p;) Soi6 is not ordinarily into this commute buz, so can understand his not so economic return empty handed with 3-4hrs turnaround. He'd rather go mess up some puying, to make his time more worthwhile On side note to those yearning to pop by Dec, yo it's kinda high season for flights. Up to 2 weeks ago, Thai Airways had this promo 260-280 return incl taxes (beats budget rip off pricing). But kns, I checked 1 week later ...sold out, with only regular pricing 450-480 for Xmas period. Asides to jimfairy, you seem to be all over thai threads posting with vengeance? 555 |

Many sinkies have PMed me saying they drop by our bar to show support. I on the other hand try my best to accomodate their requests and queries. I sometimes offer to show them around. Hope everyone stay here is memorable. No hidden agenda for me. With me..what you see is what you get..I upfront with everybody and may even be blunt sometimes. But I have made many new friends and I thank you all for your support.;) |

I was totally flabbergasted because I had not asked for any specific amount. I only said just pay me whay you normally pay. This is one reason now why I do not pick up anymore as I do not want misunderstanding to arise. |

Just a bit of (hope not unwelcome) sermon – to be cautious of needy guys who loves to hang-on to their idols! I've seen the meekest, non-drinking/smoking/carousing mice turn into party animals within a ridiculously short period of time just at the slight "guidance" of agents. So easy to make zeroes to think they're heroes.... even whilst robbing them blind! I fully understand and know that you are definitely NOT one who takes advantage of anybody, but there ARE always zeroes who idiotically think taking up the cudgel on your behalf (even when unasked/unwelcome) would also make them some kind of hero! Pathetic characters. Hope you don’t mind - just wanted to remind you. SEAJ |
