With regards to the Indians, I think it applies to gogo bars in bkk as well.
In my last trip recently, i personally witnessed bouncers stopping a group of indians going into Bacarra....claiming there was a private party.

Strange that Thai clubs discriminate against Indians. Did India attacked Thailand during one of the WWs?
I guess this is one of the Thai...ness of Thailand...

We should get this straight. The clubs do not discriminate against Indians. They discriminate against people who are perceived to not spend money. Its not race based..its all about money.:)

It would be very nice to think that outright racial discrimination does not occur anywhere.

But IMHO, the sad fact of the matter is that bigotry exists everywhere - whether Thailand, China (where such is quite blatant and even just between the same Chinese race but from different regions) in most parts of South America (where the shade of one's color pretty well determines one's station in life) and let's face it, even in Singapore where your great leader had been hard at work tackling the problem for over half a century.

Even some of the terms and terminologies I still read quite regularly on here reflects this mostly unspoken but sad fact; unspoken in more polite society but regularly boiling out in the more relaxed setting of SBF.

By the way why do you list me as 'evil clones' in your signature? My account was previously hacked and I just re-join sammyboy forum recently.

Hacked?
Rejoined?

And already starting a dialogue with your tan.rafa96, which has been revived after 7 years?
Yeah...right... yeah!

JUST IMHO, but unfortunately being humble does not work in cases of outright racial bigotry - it instead draws out/perpetuate the perpetrator's own sense of false superiority/insecurity.

Bullies and idiots don't let up if you just allow them to walk all over you.

And BTW - just another suggestion to you and others here:
Best not to get into any discussions with this OngKianLoong which is just yet another re-incarnation of a crook agent, now trying to validate this nick by trying to engage in conversation all over the board.

And like I said, just a suggestion.

OKL - if you want to discuss this matter further, please go to the battle zone instead of causing havoc here and elsewhere - your usual favorite trick. http://www.sammyboyforum.com/showthr...493723&page=58

SEAJ

PS - havock27 - just checked your posting history - apparently you are one to also try to cause havoc on SBF. Wouldn't be surprised if you're another clone alongside OKL.
Yeah, you too to the battle zone if you want to deny etc.

I found the newspaper article. :)

Drenching battles carried out by people on the back of trucks during the heady days of Songkran are now history as authorities have banned all vehicles from carrying water for the duration of the festival.

The order came during a meeting of the Road Safety Centre on Thursday to reduce fatalities during the forthcoming Thai New Year holiday.
