I'm visiting Xiamen in April. Are you able to recommend a good hotel there? I am considering Marco Polo or Crowne Plaza. Are they girl-friendly? Do you have any contacts there who can help me with hotel booking and/or arranging MM's?

There r a few good hotel in Xiamen as in 4 stars onwards. Both mentioned r of the top hotels in Xiamen n r not girl-friendly but I did manage to bring ger up to my room in Crowne....:D To choose between the mentioned hotel, if u looking into good location then Marco Polo is good cos it is near my apartment. Try searching in the net for the hotel. Tell me the hotel name, n I will tell u the condition of the hotel.

U can book the hotel thru the internet, it will be cheaper I guess. The last my friend in Xiamen helped me book is at abt 800RMB for Crowne. As for arranging MM, I dunno wat type of mm u like. Might as well u go n look for yourself in KTVs n pubs. If u still need help, I will get a mm to pick u up in the airport, n she will intro her gers to u. But hor u need to give her a bit of money lah. :D

I've been to Chang Ping a few times stayed at Hui Mei, which I find is quite good and girl friendly. Is there something similar in Xiamen?


I think it is more expensive on the net, unless I am looking at the wrong sites. I heard sometimes the rates are better through a travel agent in China. Is that true?

My gf (part time only lah!) gets very good hotel room rates for me whenever I am in Guangzhou. Maybe I can ask her if she can do the same for other hotels in China. :)

Are there BBS in Xiamen similar to CP? What about a place or street to view FLs?

Do you have a mamasan with a contact number that you can recommend?

Can try this hotel call China Trust Hotel. Think its 4 star.

Anyway, I was in Xiamen for 2 days b4 CNY, did my homework on SB thread and PM a bro there to see if got other lobang.

My verdict is that either I very the suai! or close to CNY all the working gal too scared to come out. Heard from cabbie that recently got crakdown by 110.

Went to Time Tunnel at 11pm, EMPTY! was told to return back at 2am! Took a cab and went roving around Xiamen for meat, none at sight. See previous paragraph. Cabbie brought to Pub street to look see, less a few lonley men and 1/2 gals, its empty too.

Sexually frustrated , wanted to go to MP but did not trust cabbie so went back to hotel to ask. Hotel bellhop told me they can arrange at the comfort of my room for RMB 500. So i on him,

MP: Don think she works in MP, started with saying she works in MP ,have boss, etc etc. then later let the cat out by saying staying in hostel and friend ask if she interested to make some money so she came.
Very very in experience. Confirm just come down from village somewhere.

Next day, went out looking for teh infamous tea houses but could not find any. All looks decent .

Went shopping then headed to Airport for return trip to SGP.

Damage:

Hotel : RMB 350/400 ( ard there , cant remember)
Gal: RMB 500 ( w/o tips for taxi as I was not happy )
Misc: Time Tunnel/Pubs ( RMB 200)

Cheaper to get a gal then go pub crawling. haha. my virgin contribution to Xiamen Thread. Hope brudders will like it.

Don't try Lu jiang Bing guan area lah. Cheap is cheap there but all cannot make it type. For street try the Song Bai area. All taxi drivers know it. If you want BBS type then try Fu Xing Da Jie. Again taxi drivers know it. Any other info needed PM me. I don't promise to reply quickly cos I don't go online often but will try. Cheers!

Most of the ger working in Xiamen r not from Xiamen itself but in Fujian area. Most of them will go back home during CNY.

You can look it up on www.ctrip.com I think Crown is around 600+ on ctrip.

If you know anyone working for a big company like DELL, they can get a resevation for Crown and Marco Polo for less than 500. A great deal.

As for CP, Hui Mei is pretty nice but Hui Hua (newly opened under the same owner) is even nicer.

Yes, I've been to Hui Hua when I was in CP last year. I heard the KTV there is quite good.

Can you get good room rates at Hui Hua? Do you think the Canton Fair will affect hotel accom and girl availability as I plan to be there at that time?

Very difficult to get a room near the Fair n if u can get, it will be more expensive than normal days......
