3am closures , no gun and no prostitutes has been the law in Thailand for only the last few decades. So maybe its time they start obeying the law! :rolleyes:

Understand that 8 July is a public holiday in Thailand so bars and alcohol joints are all close, can anyone confirm? Also any place open in Pattaya on this day?? Please recommend, I am going but unfortunately was told about this holiday today. thanks

OMG, that is bad news. Am going BKK from tomorrow until 10 Jul
Usually I check Thai public holidays before going but this time forgot

According to this, might be 2 days closure 8 and 9 Jul- Asamha Bucha and Khao Phansa http://www.boomboomme.com/resources/holidays/thailand/
Previous year was mandated bar closure on those days. Probably only places open are MP, some karaoke and maybe Thermae

Its a Buddhist holiday so for sure no alcohol nationwide.
