for bus service, please look for buses that go by the motorway, if you get the normal bus route, which diff is only less than 20B, it will take you min 4 hrs to reach pattaya.

Mor Chit Express buses (motorway) is est. 2 hrs and cost 121THB. sorry, last bus i do not know the timing.

May I check with you if the bus service to Pattaya from Airport Gate 8 an express one? Think I will definately be in time cause my flight arrival @ 1915hrs (BKK Time). Hope I am still in time for action when I reach Pattaya.

ETA 1915HRS BKK Time. Time plane actually touches down and taxis to aerobridge (10 minutes). Time waiting for children & aunties in front to disembark from plane (10 mins), time to walk from aerobridge to immigration (10 minutes), time to clear immigration (10 minutes), time to collect luggage (10 minutes) = 40 minutes if you are LUCKY.

By the time you walk out of arrival gates will be 1955hours (earliest). Bro Rocksoff said last bus is at 2100HRS. So you juz might make it. Travel time to Pattaya is approx 3 hours (that is if bus leaves on time). ETA Pattaya 2400HRS. Take a songteow from bus station to your hotel, walk into the soi, check in etc... it would be 0100HRS (again if you are lucky). Most joints close at 0200HRS so u have like an hour to "chiong" b4 closing. Good luck, you will need it.

What if I take a Taxi? ETA in Pattaya? Touch wood, if really that unlucky and 'cheonging session' start @ 0100hrs, is there any place you would recommend? Read from a thread that a pub/disco name Noir start partying from 0300hrs onwards...

If there's really no other alternative, I will just take my own sweet time to take a bus... However, time is really precious in such vacation.

Bro, not sure how many days you will be in LOS. But quite frankly, rather than to rush like this, would suggest you either take an earlier flight (looking at your arrival time, should be on Tiger 6pm flight), or stay one night in BKK and then travel out at noon. In any case, there is not much to do in Patts during the day if your main idea of gg patts is to cheong at night. Just my suggestion....

Ya... same here. I also paid about 600bht. So far, I pick my gal before mid-night. That's why I was a bit surprised. But then again, the good looking babes really tend to get snapped up by the Japs very early in the night. So, maybe the bf is higher. Not sure, cos my taste not so high :D

If take taxi can reach Patts within 1 1/2hours (have done it in 1/2, go search my earlier posts) so if the old adage "time is money" then spend on a cab or hold up a sign tat says "Share Taxi to Pattaya?" at the arrival hall? :D

I only know of NOIR in Bangkok (which has closed down) and Coconut Bar along the beach thats open thru out the night. ;) but I'm sure there are a lot of after hours places that more seasoned & experienced bros can enlighten you on.

Or else take up Bro LOF suggestion. Spend a night in Bangkok (only 1/2 hour away by taxi) and leave for Patts the next evening around 6pm. BKK to Patts via either Ekkamai Bus Station (BHT113) or van from Victory Monument (BHT97) will reach Patts juz nice around 8 or 9pm.

Or pick up after bar close - no need to pay BF! Saved BF can go into the girl's tips if experience is good. :cool:

Yup, I am taking the 6pm Tiger Airway Flight. Actual fact is I didn't expect to go to Pattaya upon arrival but my kakis change their sechdule. Have actually thought of taking a earlier flight but my meeting ends @ 1630hrs on the actual day...

WIll be in LOS till next Friday (20/8).

Brave man, you dicing it before bkk touchdown (etd 1800, and leave office 1630 unless you work with CAS?). And no margin for any harimau delays (touch wood);)

Back end April, I swore never to live dangerously when I left meeting 1630 for a 1830 SQ flight.. got my boarding pass at 1750 (thank goodness I checked in by internet day before):o

If taxi option for fast and furious getaway, Patts is still a do-able in 1.5hrs. Did that >1 year back, leaving Bkk 9pm+ and got in hotel circa 11pm. Still hit Walking St before magic hour. Public taxi counter fixes you at 1500. Just beware of taxi touts across the link road with many signs screaming for your attention. Private taxi (pre-arranged) about same price but more comfortable saloon car types.

One other thing to add that i learn in pattaya.

When you do visit Thailand (bangkok / Pattaya ), do it with a open mind. Learn to see and understand the culture of others

One of the nights in the A go go, we saw Japanese men buying baskets of tips ball (1000 baht per basket), aiming and throwing at the breast of the girls dancing. This sight itself is such a turn off.

The poor girls putting aside their dignity while dancing naked on stage gets mentally insulted by these other a*s h*le.

I'm no Mr Generous but i'm definately willing to tip the girl that i prefer more by giving her cold hard cash.

Sorry if any japanese man reads this but i guess, its only in the culture and my personal point of view to state

Hello Johnny! Aren't you contradicting yourself? You said go with an open mind but you are biased towards the ping pong throwing.

By dancing on stage naked the girls have thrown watever face, dignity and caution to the wind. Tat basket of ping pongs represents money. The more balls they collect the more cash they get. Look at it as another fun way of collecting tips.

And by sitting with a customer where she gets pawed and groped in order to get a tip. Is tat more dignified?

BTW I'm not Jap nor am I defending them. All sorts of nationalities throw balls at the girls. I also threw one or two onto the stage tat rolled my way.
