A couple of days ago I posted about a fellow SBF bro who needed help at SK.... since he does not wish his nick or details of the incident to be posted I shall respect his wishes. But I feel that other bros need to be warned / alerted to this scam in case it happens to them..... so I will summarise it without exposing the bro's nick. I shall name him as R.
We had met up at Big C for dinner. I was with my pooying and R came alone. After hearing stories about SK from us..... R decided he wants to visit SK but since me & my pooying had other plans so R went to SK on his own. He can speak some simple Thai which unfortunately was not enough for him to be understood at SK. He went to Ted99..... had a bottle of Heineken for himself and one MILF to sit with him from 2130 till 0130 hrs..... he opened a bottle of whiskey (560 baht) for the MILF plus ordered a plate of somtum & a plate of fried fish. When he checked bin @ 0130hrs..... he was shocked that his bill came up to 7800 baht + the PPS wanted another 2500 baht for barfine the MILF even though R did not want to go with the MILF. PPS told him MUST pay barfine for her regardless of whether he wants to fuck her onot.
R refused to pay and he was not allowed to leave the club.... when he attempted to exit the door he was surrounded by several guys and forced back inside. He called the cops and whatsapp me an SOS. I reached Ted99 with my pooying at about the same time the cops arrived so we listened in to the PPS story to the cops. My pooying had a look at the bill which was written out in Thai. Apparently the bill included some 20 over shots of whiskey which the MILF had offered to the staff and dancers + some outside food which the staff ordered and claimed was a treat from R.
R denied giving out those free makan treat and the whiskey shots which the staff drank were from the same bottle that he had bought for the MILF so they should not be charging him for those shots as they had charged him for the bottle.
The cops were very bochap and told R to just up pay and there will no more problem..... as R did not carry so much cash with him he was escorted to the ATM next door beside the 7-11. But we were still not willing to settle this way so my pooying said call the army. She had their hotline number and cooked up some story about tourists being assaulted by gangsters outside the club. Shortly after a land rover with 3 MPs arrived. Very quickly the PPS offered to reduce the bill to 3000 baht + no need to pay the barfine. Apparently they were afraid of the army getting involved and even the cops were very subservient to the MPs.... just standing by timidly and reply krap... krap.... krap to everything the MP Sgt said. The group of guys gathered at the door all disappeared and were nowhere in sight.
After paying the 3000 baht we hitch a ride in the land rover out to the main road where they dropped us off near to Mo Chit BTS...... during that time we learnt the army was already aware of such happenings as it was not the first time it happened. The Sgt advised foreigners to avoid that place if they are not au fait with the local system as it is easy for the operators to spot newbies and scam them. I also learnt that Ted99 / CHAT & Harvey Music Lounge belongs to the same owner and after closing time at 0300 am.... the girls of all 3 clubs will head over to Harvey Music Lounge which doubles as a brothel for the locals. You select the girl at HML and then proceed to the hotel about 50m behind for ST..... rates start from 500 baht to 800 baht a pop depending on the girl.
I have been to SK bars quite regularly including Ted99 and my bill has never been more than 800 baht.... usually it will be around 300-400 baht only..... so I was surprised at the amount R had to pay.
