That's too drastic. If we remove any activity involving a risk, then we have very little or nothing to do in our life. This includes sex.
Truth is that, among many honest and fun girls who simply try to get some extra cash by way of WeChat or meeeting guests in disco, there is also a number of sharks who hunt small fish.
I would not recommend to avoid any risky activity, but, specifically in case of WeChat:
1) meet them outside the hotel
2) take the time to chat and feel who is in front of you, before welcoming her to your room
3) excercise the maximum caution and, possibly, your 6th sense
4) if you never ventured beyond Geylang legal houses, avoid WeChat and the Unknown Lands.
