For food, you can forget about Windsor as the place is flattened and doubt if they will do a rebuild. Instead, my driver brought me to Nagoya Food Court which is opposite Biz Hotel and the place is 3 times bigger that Windsor with hundreds of food stalls and was packed with mostly locals which meant that food prices are very affordable. There is also a live quartet playing pop music with a lovely looking SYT singer.
Good to see that Batam has survived the pandemic and looking to roar back into serving Sillyporeans like me/us.

Your post is honey music for my ears! I cannot wait to return and venture in the "new Batam". It may be true this Fall.
Formosa destroyed, Windsor flattened... GOSH! an era ended and will just be a memory recorded forever in my head.
