Anyone been to Renovate on Ratchada?

Been hearing about it, so headed down on Sat with a friend.

At first, couldn't really see inside, then need to buy drink coupon to go in, so we started with a beer each. Then, while queuing to get the stamp to go in, had a bunch of girls bioing us, but we were just on recce so didn't make any decisive action.

The place is a bit like Soi 4 clubs, no dancefloor, with people standing around the tables. We reached there at about 1.30am (it's an after hours club), and it was already quite happening. The quality of the chicks not bad, with suprisingly a lot of un-escorted groups of girls. I think dress well and look neat is enough to pull there, since I was just wearing so-so nia, and my friend still in uni uniform, but with a jacket thrown over, and we were getting smiles etc.

Highlights of the night: 1) chick came to dance next to me, but not my type (nose job). 2) chick came to stand at our table, then after about 15 mins of no contact from either my friend or I, reached across to try to get my attention, but again, not my type (chubby), so geh siao blur. 3) girl came over to hug me, but I think she was drunk.

It's not that I'm so damn fussy, but my gf coming back in the morning (unspecified time), so... didn't have much leeway to do anything, so just go there see see nia. Friend had to reach home by ~6am before mom woke up also, haha.

The music kept changing, when we got there, it was hip-hop, then changed to thai music, then r&b, then at about 4am changed to techno/trance.

As for cost, mixers are 60 baht each, and I opened a black for 1600. Total expenditure: 1900 (black+mixers) + 360 (2 heinekens) = 2260b.

One wierd thing: I guess it must be under same management as Baryan Tree, 'cos all the toilet staff were in Baryan Tree uniforms.

As aforementioned, this is an after hours club, so, when we were there at 1.30am, it was quite happening liao, then as it got later, more and more people were streaming in. We left at about 5+, and by that point it was so full of people it was getting hard to dance/move.
