Think it is better to find viet gal who is a small eater.
I don't eat much also, so usually order 1 plate fried rice, 2 person share.
If the gal order Pho, hu tieu, bun... than bo bian, cannot share. Up to now, I have not order side dishes.
Usual spending:$8 - $13 per dinner at coffeeshop with the gals. $24+ if eat at viet resturant.
I ever see a guy treating 2 viet gals dinner at JC coffeeshop. the gals order the food like few days never eat.
Starter: 1 plate goi cuon each
Main dish: 2 bowl of hu tieu/pho each
Dessert: 1 plate of 'gong gong' each
Drinks: 1 can drink, 1 coconut each
The poor guy just drink 1 bottle of beer....never eat.
