Just my 2 cents, brudders can consider skipping this place, i went there in May, packed like shit, got a table outside the kitchen/toilet and it was freaking hot. (air con area full)In addition to that food is so-so and ex. Not to mention the rude waiters. Never been so pissed in my life whilst having a dinner.
Also, some of the night stalls in Cho Ben Thanh serves pretty good food, dunno why no one reccommend that place/stalls here ar??  |
The service there is bad because of the many people that patronise that place. The staff just cant handle it. In general, providing good service is not high on the priority list. This happens all over the place. I have been ther only twice and it was out of necessity, not because I want to go.
As for the food stalls around Ben Thanh market, it is targeted towards tourist. The food is from average to above average. For me, there are always better and more affordable alternatives to the type of food served around the market area. The only problem is that most of the places you would require to know basic vietnamese to set there. However, that is slowly changing as more and more foreignors are venturing out and now more places have "photo albums" as menus....
