Glad to report that there are no psychological or physical damage. He has since then fathered two children and joined me in several cheonging escapades subsequently.

Absolutely agree with your point here. principles in text are guiding rules. Humans go by instinctive reactions (reads: survivability) and therefore, reading too much into texts and ignoring the real life situations are dangerous marking points to a downfall. At the end of the day, you need to know yourself, the terrains, the competition and the unique situations that anyone find themselves in. The need for survivial and ability to understand situational awareness plus flexibility in managing all round crisis/advantages will well put one in the pole's position.
