Excuse me, I hardly ever write, but i think tonight i am in the mood. i have been in and out of thailand for the last 30 years and finally decided i might as well park my carcass over here. glad i did...not sure. because the varied and abundance of nightlife is awesome. i have lived here for the past 5 years and will probably live here for the next 50 (if possible). at the beginning it was the aquariums, karaokes, soi cowboys, the nana and the patong and the other bars for the cheonging, and it seems to be the norm in most of the reports i read here (unless i have missed out on some). well and good for those who want a short cut to a fast catch....like going fishing in a pay pond. i've gone step beyond this type of "cash for flesh" albeit there are some gems who will give you a good time. some of my best experiences have been "fishing: at the local discos....lots in the ratchada area, where there are actually working girls (salesgirls, nurses, office girls, - ordinary people) just out for fun. sometimes they go alone, or in a group - and believe me, they are out for fun. Go to any one these, look around you for potential target, make eye contact and offer them to come over to your table or start dancing with them - the just pay for their food and drinks...almost 99% of the time, they are yours for the night. i've had so many kakis and i always bring hem to these sort of places....they are amazed....you can be 50-60 years old, of 20 years old...and the fantastic thing is, they don't ask for money.....they are just so friendly! i have a couple of favourite places i call my "fishing pond".... and to set the record straight - i am no andy lau. i'm old and ugly, and i still get good catches. anyone want to join me, Nights of nov 13, 14 and 15, i will be in BKK, pm me. we split bills....unless you want to buy me the beers. no tour guide fees - .....cheers
