The prerequisite for BY-ing is moolah.
The cost varies widely in Sin n China. I should leave this for more experienced bros to answer as my personal experiences may not be typical.
Personally, in SIN, I hv been paying SGD 8-12k a month plus rent, etc. for full-time BY-ing n 4-6K if they continue to run KTVs. For exceptional cases, I hv paid much more...
In China, the same type of gals will require RMB15-25K in SZ, 10-15K in Wuhan n 5-10K in a small town for full-time BY-ing.
A pretty 17 yo in 秦皇岛 （some place in Hebei）demands RMB10k a month only. She wont come to SIN ( when she turns 18 in 2 months) for 5X more plus expenses.
