The lady drink is just a coke, the waiter say 100k dong also. So drinks total should be 400k, plus the girl sit down 32 USD (about 624k dong). Total should be about 1 mil dong or slightly more because of tax. Donno why the bill come is 1.6 mil dong! And the worse thing is, I totally never notice, just pay. Only after I come back hotel than I recalled a bro mention here b4 always check your bill. So that is like 500k dong just throw away.
So I and that girl is talking a bit, she say tomorrow she come find me at my hotel cheaper, if she go off tonight I need to pay another 100 USD or something. I also donno what she say is true or not. Anw, I said ok. I thought maybe got free tour guide also not bad.
When I going off that time, the girl ask me to tip her. I was a bit surprised because I thought 32USD is quite a lot already. She say the hotel take the 32 USD and she don't get anything. I also donno if that is true, and of course being newbie there is no way I can find out. She say I can ask the mamasan but I think no point. But i still take out 100k dong. Den she ask for 500k. I was a bit shocked. I realise I'm paying a lot of money for some beers and a girl to sit beside me and do nothing. So I wake up and say tomorrow don't need to find me, but I let her keep the 100k dong.
Yes I know I totally carrot and spoiling the market. Must be because of newbies like me that's why these ppl can become so stuck up. But anyway, I take this as paying tuition fees. Hope tomorrow will be better. Either that or I avoid night spots totally.

GFE: can speak english, and before we talk about money things were ok, about 6/10

Anyway, just let me point out the facts to you as I visit that place quite often...
Everything in Hanoi hotel KTV is expensive, the beer price is quite right although I don't remember exactly how much I paid.
The USD 32 for the girl is also correct. It is written in the receipt as 'Misc'. It goes to the KTV and the girl gets nothing. You will have to tip her 300K to 500K at the end of the night.
Because you are sitting in the hall where everyone can see, of cause you can't do anything more than hugging and discreet kissing. Even if you are in the ktv room, you don't get to do much as well. Because this is a so called "up-market KTV" and customers are usually businessman and they spent on their company's expense. If you want to do more, you just need to bring her into your hotel room. USD 100 for short time. USD 120 for overnight. They also do not get 100% out of this USD 100 or 120, they need to pay their mummy a commission.
The girl wanted to meet you tomorrow instead because she might already have booking tonight, and yes it is true that you save USD100 because that is their rates for short time.
If she do meet you tomorrow, she will probably still ask you for money, but this she will not need to pay commission to the mummy.
Hanoi is a boring place to party. The small local ktvs are very well 'hidden' and you really need to be able to speck vietnamese or go with someone who can speak in order to explore such places. The varity of girls in these local joints are very limited and quality wise, not as good a those in the high-end ktv like Hanoi hotel and fortuna hotel. These girls in local joints speaks only vietnamese, very few can speak english or even if they can, it is very very very limited. So for a newbie, still better for u to stick to Hanoi or Fortuna hotel, as they have about 100-200 girls there, 'looks' prettier in general as they know how to doll-up themselves, and they can speak at least english or chinese or even Japanese or Korean. They are well trained according to their customer base. So for that matter, they are more expensive.
Alternatively, you can go to bars like seventeen-salon or relax bar. You spend lesser there. But you can't really just bring the girls there back to your hotel on your 1st meeting with them, unless you did some magic or your lucky star is shinny real bright on you.
