Chocolate, lobster and holiday buffet at the Caravelle
================================================== ====
Chocolate cakes and seafood will be among the delicacies at the Caravelle Hotel in April
The Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City will hold a chocolate promotion next month with a selection of chocolate cakes that will satisfy the most diehard chocoholic.
During the promotion from April 9 to 22, the à la carte menu in the Caravelle’s Lobby Lounge will include delights like Black Forest Sacher, chocolate truffle tart and pistachio-flavored chocolate cake. Besides, there will be unusual treats like white chocolate, pistachio and apricot slice, which is made with a white chocolate pistachio mousse, apricot jelly and hazelnut-almond sponge, and orange-spiced sweet bitter chocolate pie, which has a caramelized puff pastry and shortbread crust and an orange liqueur-spiced dark chocolate emulsion.
From sweets to seafood, Reflections at the Caravelle will be serving up an array of traditional and modern lobster dishes from April 21 to 28.
The appetizers will include lobster ravioli flavored with lemongrass, lobster carpaccio with ginger, chili and Asian greens, and a lobster and oyster chowder with curry oil. Besides traditional lobster dishes, there will be new offerings such as lobster with tarragon gnocchi as well as “Lobster Surf and Turf” featuring slow-cooked beef shin and wild mushrooms, roasted lobster tail with a champagne and rhubarb sauce, and celeriac puree.
For Vietnam’s Liberation Day and Labor Day (April 30 and May 1), the Caravelle’s restaurant Nineteen will be laying out a dinner buffet with everything from seafood cooked to order (lobster, tiger prawns, soft-shell crab and squid) to whole roast leg of lamb to an Action Station serving up sirloin steak, imported beef, caviar, fresh oyster and cheese.
