Nowadays, if it rains non-stop for about 3 hours, CP will be flooded. The lowest point being Tian Er'Hu Road (天鹅湖路) area and Zhong Yuan Street/Chang Ping Avenue Junction (中元街/常平大道). When flood comes, the only happy people are the Mini-Van (面包车) Drivers who will charge astronomical prices for rides to various. Some one told me that when the flood occured that time, a Mini-Van once charged RMB100 for a ride for 4 guys from POZOLIM to MIRATON Hotel. WTF! It is only less than 50 meters away. The drainage system are better now in CP. Flood do not happen as regularly as a few years back. Let's hope this year will be a good year without flooding in CP. By the way, raining (Monsoon) is just around the corner.
