Yes bahasa indo and bahasa melayu is about 80-90% similar. Sometimes misunderstanding of the meaning can happen. For example like stating time :
2.30pm
bahasa indo : jam setengah tiga (3pm deduct half hour)
bahasa melayu : pukul dua setengah (2pm add half hour)
Therefore have to take note when making appointment with cewek.

The word pecuma in indo means no use but in malay means free of charge.
