Not to say you do/don't have the Thai farmer look, one reason why they think you're local is that you perhaps went alone. Old hands always go alone. Newly arrived foreign sex tourists attack in threes, fours or more. But newbies do not need to worry about this: new/old/local/foreign - all are charged the same price if you're Asian.
In BKK at least, if you like going early, good to know which MPs open early. Nataree for example opens at 1pm I believe and a good crowd is already available by 2. The others, you'd have to wait to 4-5 maybe 6pm to get a flow of girls coming.
