Traffic jam in batam is less than likely to happen if you compare our PIE and CTE during morning and late afternoon hours.
The only jam that migh happen is along the main "highway" along bukit indah sukajadi during off work hours as workers knock off from work from kara and batamindo. In fact cant be considered as jam, just more traffic only. unless a vehicle or two breaks down along this road.
On another note, dun think that many people who goes there for fun will be at the area. So i dun really see the basis of traffic jam causing people to miss the ferry unless they planned in such a way that they wanna be the last to reach with their names broadcast under "last call for XXX".
Last but note least, one should be more concern of our coast guards boarding the ferry for spot checks prior reaching singapore, this will delay 30-60mins. Or a cruise ship is entering or leaving singapore, this will delay about 20mins.
